Shuppies Gun Shop, The Story.

Here is why Shuppie started this shop in 2004.

The gun shops used to be a place to gather,trade hunting stories and experience. It was an exciting experience for me to be in the presence of older men and women who had lived, and had wisdom and knowledge.

The old taught the young. Teaching of God, knowledge,experience, honor and integrity.

Teaching the trade of our Great God given American heritage. Our great veterans, our hard working men and women, history and skills passed down through generations from father and mother to sons and daughters, nieces and nephews.

At some point, it became more about a business, or more about something else, and it wasn’t the same. It seemed it was more about if you had money to spend.

It lost the tradition, the heritage of bringing up young folk like me who just wanted to know the stories, learn how to do what our elders could do, and mowed enough lawns or shoveled enough snow to buy a rusty old .22 or shotgun.

That first gun I had, with all its stories, passed on to my kin, hopefully you have one you will pass on.

We are not WALMART. WE are not GUNBROKER. WE are not ACADEMY SPORTS.

WE are not a corporation, a million dollar store.

We never will be.

We will know you.

We at Shuppies Gun Shop are still the old small town gun shop. If you’ve been here a time or two, we probably know your family, and some stories of good times in the woods or at the range.
